After more than 10 years of research, Li Liang, a professor at the National pulsed strong Magnetic Field Science Center of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, put forward the method of "non-magnetic assembly-integral magnetization" of large permanent magnet motors for the first time in the world, which solved the defects of traditional technology. in June 2021, the first integral magnetization equipment of China's large permanent magnet motor was developed to complete the overall magnetization of 2.5 MW direct drive permanent magnet wind generator rotor. On this basis, Li Liang's team continued to tackle key problems and finally realized the overall magnetization of the rotor of the world's largest single-machine power wind turbine, which has been applied in enterprises.
According to Li Liang, while realizing rapid magnetization, the technology also has the ability of low energy consumption and rapid demagnetization, and has a broad application prospect in the green remanufacturing of retired permanent magnet wind turbines. In addition, it can also be used in high-speed rail drive motors, electric vehicles, maglev trains, ship drive motors and aerospace high-speed motors.
CTOnews.com noted that according to the data of the National Energy Administration, the total installed capacity of wind power in China will reach 389 million kilowatts by the end of June this year.
