Preliminary estimates show that a total of 5.92 million vehicles were wholesale from January to September this year, an increase of 36 percent over the same period last year.

The Federation predicts that in 2023, China will sell 8.5 million new energy passenger vehicles and 23.5 million narrow passenger vehicles, and the annual penetration rate of new energy vehicles is expected to reach 36 per cent.

CTOnews.com noted from the wholesale sales of new energy, the main manufacturer in September, that BYD had the highest sales volume of 286903 vehicles, followed by Tesla, with 74073 vehicles; Geely, GAC Ean, and Changan cars had similar sales of more than 50,000 vehicles; and ideal cars had the highest sales among the new car-building forces, reaching 36060.
