CTOnews.com, Oct. 7 (Xinhua)-- Blackmagic Design launched Blackmagic Camera recording software to Apple's iPhone phone in September, which integrates the company's digital video camera control and image processing methods to achieve "Hollywood" movie texture. Now, Blackmagic Camera has released a version 1.1 software update to bring more features to Apple's iPhone 14amp 15 phone.

The Blackmagic Camera 1.1 software update adds support for recording at frame rates of 23.98,29.97 and 59.94fps for iPhone 14 and newer models, and allows you to shoot material that matches a wider range of project frame rates after the upgrade.

Also added is support for external timecode synchronization using Tentacle Sync E, which allows multiple iPhone cameras to get accurate frame-to-frame recording, making multi-position footage editing more convenient during post-production. In addition, this update adds lens control support for Tilta Nucleus Nano and Nucleus M to enable wireless zoom and focus control when the camera is deployed in an unreachable position.

After upgrading, you can lock the orientation of the camera screen in the Blackmagic Camera settings, maintaining the aspect ratio of the vertical or horizontal regardless of how the camera moves. This feature is especially useful when you record directly to an external USB-C storage disk on the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max and the camera is fixed to the boom or rocker arm.

IPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max also support recording Apple Log format, which helps capture the full dynamic range of the scene, allowing DaVinci Resolve's tone images to use these details to create rich and bright colors, deep shades, and clear lights.
