The proportion of 5G network access traffic reached 48.2%, and the efficiency of using 5G network was significantly improved.

CTOnews.com learned from the Shandong Communications Administration that by the end of August this year, Shandong Province had built a total of 193000 5G base stations, with 19 5G base stations per 10,000 people.

In terms of coverage, the 5G network covers the urban areas, county towns, township towns and provincial coastlines of 16 local cities, and key scenes such as transportation hubs and economic parks are continuously covered. The access rate of 5G network in administrative villages is more than 80%. At the same time, 1448 5G virtual private networks have been built in the province.

According to reports, in the practice of the ten key industries of "5G + Industrial Internet" announced by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, seven industries in Shandong Province, including electronic equipment manufacturing, equipment manufacturing, building materials, ports, mining, electric power, and household appliances, were shortlisted and ranked first in the country. Moreover, Shandong has taken the lead in building the first provincial 5G electric power demonstration network in the country, and has entered the stage of large-scale application. Four projects have been selected as the "5G + Wisdom Education" application pilot project of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
