CTOnews.com, October 6, Mozilla has introduced a new flame icon for the privacy browsing window in its recently released version of Firefox Nightly, which allows users to reset the current private browsing session after clicking.

CTOnews.com Note: private browsing is a useful feature of Firefox that helps you hide your network activities from other Firefox users on your computer, but does not make you invisible online.

When you use the privacy window, Firefox does not save passwords, cookie, and history. If you download a file from a Web site, the file will not appear in Firefox's download Manager, but it will remain on your computer. In addition, if you bookmark a website in the privacy window, it will remain in your bookmark list.

Firefox users previously need to reset the session, need to close the current window and then reopen it, and the user can click this button to do the same.

There is also an option to uncheck "always ask me", and the activate button immediately resets the unchecked option, speeding up the reset.

It is not clear when the feature will be available in Firefox stable, currently Nightly version 120, which is scheduled to be released in late November 2023.

The preference browser.privatebrowsing.resetPBM.enabled defines whether the button is displayed in the Firefox toolbar, setting it to TRUE displays the icon, and setting it to FALSE removes it.
