CTOnews.com, October 6 (Xinhua)-- Apple yesterday released an update to iOS 17.0.3 (internal version: 21A360), focusing on issues that may cause the iPhone to run at a higher temperature than expected.

CTOnews.com previously reported that in terms of GeekBench running scores, the iOS 17.0.3 update did not lower the temperature by reducing the frequency, but by optimizing the system and applications.

So did iOS 17.0.3 really cool down? Jason Hiner, editor-in-chief of foreign science and technology media ZDNet, recently carried out an actual measurement.

The test method is to first drain the power of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models, and compare the phone temperature in the charging state before and after upgrading iOS 17.0.3.

Before upgrading the iOS 17.0.3 system, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max had a maximum temperature of 107.1 degrees Fahrenheit in the charging state, often exceeding 100F.

After upgrading the iOS 17.0.3 system, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max have a maximum temperature of 93.8 degrees Fahrenheit in the charging state, ranging from 85 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit.
