CTOnews.com, Oct. 5, according to VideoCardz, the latest AGESA 1.0.8.0 firmware of the AMD AM5 platform has added support for Phoenix desktop APU, which may mean that the Sharon 7000G series processors will be released soon.

As shown in the figure below, the Asustek B650 motherboard BIOS download page explicitly mentions the new firmware support for "upcoming CPU".

According to previous reports from CTOnews.com, AMD did not release the desktop side of R7 6800H. At present, the strongest desktop APU of AMD is R7 5700G, which is Vega8, which lags far behind the latest Radeon 780m.

AMD Phoenix series processors are R7 7840HS and 7840U series processors used in mobile platforms. The desktop platform version is expected to maintain the same specifications, power consumption is unlocked to 65W TDP, and the kernel performance is expected to be higher.
