CTOnews.com October 4, Pixel Watch 2 watches were officially released at the launch of Google's Pixel 8 series of new products this evening.

Google Pixel Watch 2 is made of 100% recycled aluminum and the previous generation is stainless steel. So the watch is a little lighter. The Pixel Watch weighs 36 grams and the Pixel Watch 2 weighs 31 grams. The watch has a large curved screen and looks as round and smooth as pebbles as a whole. The right side of the watch is equipped with a rotating crown to facilitate users to do more operations.

With a 1.2in AMOLED screen, a resolution of 383x384 pixels and a screen density of 320ppi, the Pixel Watch 2 watch is still the same as the 41mm dial, with four types of straps to choose from: plastic movable strap, metal mesh strap, metal chain strap and metal fine strap.

In terms of performance, Google Pixel Watch 2 carries the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 + Gen 1 chip, which is better than the previous generation of Exynos 9110, has 2GB memory and has a 5ATM / IP68 protection rating.

Another addition to Pixel Watch 2 is UWB, which tracks other UWB-enabled devices more accurately than Bluetooth and has a direction indicator.

Google Pixel Watch 2 battery life is 24 hours, the battery life does not change the charging speed. The smartwatch also automatically tracks training and is equipped with an improved health monitoring system and a range of safety features.

Google Pixel Watch 2 comes with three new sensors that support heart rate, body temperature and body response detection; it can identify seven common exercises and send automatic start and stop reminders for these exercises. In addition, it also supports fall detection, emergency SOS, heart rate area training and other functions.

The Bluetooth version of Google Pixel Watch 2 costs $349 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 2551 yuan), the same price as the previous generation, the LTE version costs $400 (currently about 2924 yuan), and the watch band starts at $50 (currently about 366 yuan).

Google also released a new watch charger, which costs $30 (currently about 219 yuan).
