CTOnews.com, Oct. 4, PayPal announced today that users can now add PayPal and Venmo credit and debit cards to their Apple Wallet (Apple Wallet) and support Apple's cash return and incentive policies.

CTOnews.com Note: Venmo is a payment tool and social platform under PayPal, which supports web pages, provides local payment services, facilitates splitting bills with friends, and facilitates online and brick-and-mortar shopping payments, similar to WeChat Pay in China.

The launch of this feature is part of PayPal's further expansion of its digital payment ecosystem. Recently, PayPal also launched a new service called PayPal Pay, which allows users to make contactless payments in the store.

PayPal reported that a 2022 survey found that 42 per cent of Americans had used mobile wallets and highlighted how Apple Pay allows users to use PayPal cards to make payments "quickly and easily" while keeping them safe.

The usage is no different from a regular credit or debit card. Users need to open the Apple Wallet, click the + button, select the add "debit or Credit Card" option, and then add it by scanning or manually entering the card number information. PayPal says users will also be able to add it to Apple Wallet directly in App in the future.

When using "Apple Pay" to pay, users can get a 2% rebate for purchases with PayPal credit cards, PayPal points and cash or other rewards for purchases with PayPal debit cards, and up to 3% for corporate consumption using Venmo debit cards.
