CTOnews.com, October 4 (Xinhua)-- the launch of Google's new Pixel 8 / 8 Pro will be held at 22:00 Beijing time tonight. Before its official debut, PBKreviews, an evaluation agency, has already got two mobile phones in advance and tested them with Geekbench 6 and 3DMark Wild Life.

For PBKreviews, a foreign media based on ▲ graphics, Pixel 8 scored 1536 points in the single-core test, 11% worse than the 1760 score of Pixel 8 Pro; the multicore part Pixel 8 scored 4159 points, and Pixel 8 Pro scored 4442 points, with a difference of nearly 7%.

In the 3DMark Wild Life stress test of ▲ source media PBKreviews, the performance of Pixel 8 is not as good as that of Pixel 8 Pro. Considering that Pixel 8 / 8 Pro phones are all equipped with the same Tensor G3 processor, PBKreviews believes that the big difference in test scores is due to the lack of heat dissipation capacity of Pixel 8, so SoC may immediately hit the temperature wall.

In the 3DMark Wild Life test, the highest temperature of Pixel 8 reached 42.4 degrees Celsius, while the temperature of Pixel 8 Pro reached 43.3 degrees Celsius. The relevant results prove that Google's Tensor G3 still needs some efforts to catch up with its competitors.
