CTOnews.com, October 4 (Xinhua)-- after Apple announced that it would release software updates to address issues that could cause overheating of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, MacRumors found that Apple was internally testing iOS 17.0.3.

It is unclear when iOS 17.0.3 will be released to the public, and it is customary that new updates may be released later this week or next week.

Apple did not provide any details about the errors it found, but it said it would not degrade the performance of the A17 Pro chip through software updates. Apple also said that the titanium frame of the iPhone 15 Pro is not the culprit and that the overheating problem may not be the result of hardware defects.

According to CTOnews.com, Apple said in a statement that recent updates to third-party App overloaded the system and caused overheating problems. Some of these App include Instagram, Uber and the racing game Wild Racing 9: racing Legend, and Apple is working with the developers of these App to solve the problem, the statement said. The statement added that Instagram had launched a fix as part of the App update released on Wednesday.

Apple said that due to increased background activity, the iPhone 15 Pro model may be hotter than expected in the first few days after installing or restoring the device. This is the normal situation of the new iPhone, only temporary.
