CTOnews.com, Oct. 3-Elon Musk is trying to develop new features for the X platform, including game streaming and live shopping, as part of his attempt to turn X into a "unified App" that X Premium subscribers can use.

On Sunday night, Musk posted a 54-minute live broadcast of Diablo 4 on an X test account called Gamer, demonstrating the game's streaming capabilities. Musk later replied to the account and confirmed that the company was testing the new features.

CTOnews.com found that Mark Kalman, an engineer at X, also shared a video explaining how premium subscribers connect Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) to their X accounts through X Media Studio to set up live game streams through their accounts.

It is unclear whether X's server can drive large-scale live streaming, and the company, which lost many reliability engineers due to layoffs last year, has struggled to handle large real-time audio and video streams.

Musk, for example, recently tried to broadcast live his visit to the U.S.-Mexico border, but the live video was suddenly interrupted about four minutes later. According to the New York Times reporter Ryan Mac, Musk was finally able to restart the live broadcast, but only if he sent a crazy company-wide email to all X employees-"Please solve this problem."
