Thank you CTOnews.com netizen Mr. Aviation for the clue delivery! CTOnews.com Electric vehicle maker Rivian Automotive reported its latest delivery figures, with third-quarter deliveries reaching 15,564 units, higher than Wall Street analysts expected.

Rivian said it is on track to meet its target of producing 52000 vehicles by 2023. Rivian currently sells R1T pickup trucks and R1S SUVs.

For the quarter ended September 30, Rivian delivered a total of 15,564 vehicles, while Visible Alpha estimated 14,740, up 23.1% from the second quarter (12640).

Notably, the company produced 16,304 vehicles at its Normore, Illinois plant, up from 13,992 in the second quarter. This means Rivian only needs to produce more than 12,300 additional vehicles in the quarter to reach its full-year target.

According to Cox Automotive, thanks to price cuts, the average price of Rivian electric vehicles has fallen to $53376 in July 2023 (CTOnews.com notes: currently about 390,000 yuan), up from nearly $70000 a year ago.

It is worth mentioning that Rivian has also been working hard to cut costs and turn to the development of internal Enduro powertrain to reduce dependence on suppliers.

Despite the slowdown, there are still positive signs of growth in the U.S. EV industry, which has become one of the fastest-growing EV markets, according to market research firm Canalys Research.
