The book points out that the development of the new power system industry will promote the continuous expansion of the power industry and market scale, and it is estimated that the investment scale of China's power industry will exceed 100 trillion yuan from 2020 to 2060. the scale of energy storage, comprehensive energy, energy Internet and other industries will all reach the trillion yuan level.

According to the latest industrial statistics released by the National Energy Administration, CTOnews.com found that China's cumulative installed capacity was about 2.76 billion kilowatts by the end of August this year, an increase of 11.9 percent over the same period last year. Of this total, the installed capacity of solar power is about 510 million kilowatts, an increase of 44.4 percent over the same period last year; and the installed capacity of wind power is about 400 million kilowatts, an increase of 14.8 percent over the same period.

From January to August, the cumulative average utilization of power generation equipment nationwide was 2423 hours, 76 hours less than that of the same period last year. Of this total, hydropower was 1984 hours, down 469 hours from the same period last year; solar power was 907 hours, 40 hours less than the same period last year; nuclear power was 5116 hours, an increase of 121 hours over the same period last year; wind power was 1538 hours, an increase of 79 hours over the same period last year; thermal power was 2999 hours, an increase of 67 hours over the same period last year.

From January to August, the country's major power generation enterprises completed an investment of 470.3 billion yuan in power supply projects, an increase of 46.6 percent over the same period last year. Of this total, solar power was 187.3 billion yuan, up 82.7 percent over the same period last year; nuclear power was 52.2 billion yuan, up 56.9 percent over the same period last year; and wind power was 114.9 billion yuan, up 38.7 percent over the same period last year. The investment in the power grid project was 270.5 billion yuan, an increase of 1.4% over the same period last year.
