This version allows AMD Radeon RX 7000 series graphics card users to enable AMD frame generation technology in DirectX 11 and 12 games, including Star Sky, Star Wars Jedi: survivors, Heritage of Hogwarts and Wild Dart 2.

Of course, in addition to these selected games, users can also manually force AFMF to be enabled in other DX11/12 games, such as Cyberpunk 2077.

It is worth mentioning that this technology, called AMD Fluid Motion Frames (AMD smooth dynamic frame, referred to as AFMF), can improve FPS while ensuring image quality, bringing a smoother gaming experience for players.

It is worth mentioning that because AFMF may introduce additional delays in the game, AFMF may not provide the best experience in fast-paced competitive games, and AMD is also recommended with AMD Radeon Anti-Lag / Anti-Lag+.

In addition, the AFMF Technical Preview currently requires games to run in full-screen mode and disables HDR and VSYNC. For the best experience, AMD recommends that users use AFMF on AMD FreeSync-compatible monitors and that users disable HDR in the Windows display settings, or disable HDR (and automatic HDR) in the game.

AMD recommends enabling AFMF in games with a minimum frame of 55 FPS or above on the 1080p display, and 70 FPS on the 1440p or above display.
