CTOnews.com on October 1, Huantai Cloud Service issued a notice that some regional cloud services will no longer support cloud synchronization (photo albums, recordings, private safes), backup, cloud disk and other features. If users have paid for the cloud service when the feature is turned off, the fee will be fully refunded.

CTOnews.com includes features that will be turned off:

Synchronization function: synchronization functions of photo albums, recordings and private safes are no longer supported

Backup function: backing up new data is no longer supported

Cloud disk feature: uploading new files to cloud disk is no longer supported

Service shutdown process timeline

Countries or regions involved: Cambodia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, India, Indonesia, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore.

The first phase: turn off cloud synchronization (photo album, recording, private safe), backup, cloud disk function

Starting from October 16, 2023, cloud services will gradually shut down cloud synchronization (photo albums, recordings, private safes), backup and cloud disk functions. After closing:

Cloud synchronization (photo albums, recordings, private safes) will not be able to synchronize data

Automatic backup will be turned off and backing up new packets is no longer supported.

Cloud disk will no longer support uploading new files

Phase 2: turn off the data download function and delete the data

Starting from May 7, 2024, the data downloads of photo albums, audio recordings and private safes will no longer be supported. The data of photo albums, audio recordings and private safes will be deleted from the cloud service server and cannot be recovered.

As of May 7, 2025, backup recovery and cloud disk data download will no longer be supported. Backup packets and cloud disk data will be deleted from the cloud service server and cannot be recovered.
