CTOnews.com Sept. 30, according to feedback from the Reddit community and MacRumors forum posts, iPhone 15 users are experiencing problems with incompatibility with CarPlay and are unable to connect and pair up.

CTOnews.com Note: one of the changes to Apple's iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models is the use of the USB-C port, which officially comes with a USB-C cable, but users will need to buy another data cable or switch head if they want to use the CarPlay after buying a new phone.

Mainstream cars are mainly connected to the CarPlay through the USB-A port, although Apple officially provides a solution for wireless CarPlay, but in order to meet the charging needs of driving, wired connection is still the best solution.

But Apple does not provide an official USB-A-to-USB-C cable, nor do front-line accessory manufacturers such as Belkin and Mophie.

Apple's official solution is to buy a "USB-C-to-lightning converter", which is currently priced at RMB243in China.

However, not all USB-A-to-USB-C cables work properly, and in some models, the iPhone 15 series cannot enable CarPlay through this cable.

One Reddit user commented that

I used the USB-A-to-USB-C cable this morning. I planned to use CarPlay for iPhone 15 and found that I couldn't connect.

IPhone 15 can be recharged after connecting, but CarPlay cannot be enabled. In the Carplay settings on my phone, the name of my car is displayed as if it were connected, but nothing is displayed on the screen.

I consulted the dealer, but there was no substantive reply. The car I'm driving now doesn't have a USB-C port, but I tried the USB-C-to-USB-C cable provided by Apple in 2023 cars, and there was no problem.

Another user responded:

I have tried two high-quality cables of the first-tier brand, both of which show that they do not support it. I called Apple customer service for this. They offered a variety of solutions, but none of them worked. Finally, the customer service recommended that I use Apple's official adapter solution.

I later tested four more cables, and three from Sony, Samsung and Nintendo worked.

The three connection cables that can not achieve CarPlay can be used for fast charging before, and can also connect high-speed PC and VR head display.

I have exactly the same problem. Several different high-quality cables have been tried (and purchased), all troubleshooting operations have been completed and AppleCare+, has no effect.
