Before leaving Intel, Redfield was a customer AI project leader, leading the research and development of low-power AI technologies, including neural processing units (NPU), which have been integrated into Intel's upcoming Ultra "Meteor Lake" processors.

CTOnews.com inquired about the LinkedIn page, and Redfield left Intel this month to join AMD as vice president of AI chips. As of press time, Reyfield, Intel and AMD have not responded to foreign media inquiries.

Redfield is not the first technologist to run away from Intel, CRN reported. Kavitha Prasad, who leads Intel's server artificial intelligence strategy, left in July and is now working in AWS.

Redfield assumed a leadership position in June last year and even gave a speech at this spring event.
