CTOnews.com September 29 news, pre-installed custom ArcaneOS Pixel 4a mobile phone surfaced in 2021, used by the FBI global operations to trap criminals. Two years later, the Pixel 6a phone pre-installed with FBI custom ROM was exposed again. The device was pre-installed with three apps, which, like the previous Pixel 4a, could not unlock BootLoader.

CTOnews.com Note: This FBI custom ROM build number is TP1A.220624.021.A1.2022121400, which is similar to the GrapheneOS September update version number and may be a GrapheneOS based custom ROM.

The Pixel 6a of the FBI custom ROM contains the September security patch, baseband version 220720, BootLoader version bluejay-1.2-8893284, so the device was produced immediately after the Pixel 6a was released.

The entire initial setup process is the same as for a regular AOSP-based custom ROM, we first select the language. Then we enter the date and time information. Then it checks the SIM card. After completing this step, we are asked to create a password for the device.

Although the FBI is a U.S. agency, the device has a CE barcode on the back, model number G1AZG. According to Google Tensor source code, the G1AZG model is EU-specific.
