CTOnews.com Sept. 29, Microsoft business and education customers logged in using Entra ID can access the OneDrive cloud file storage service, upload and save files, and share them with other colleagues and partners. Microsoft issued a press release today to further enhance OneDrive Sync synchronization.

Microsoft introduced new protection features in its press release to prevent the team from deleting OneDrive files that you still need.

In an actual work scenario, multiple team members can manipulate shared folders, and sometimes other colleagues delete a file that is still useful to you.

In the latest protection, when someone else on the team deletes a shared file, the user receives a new confirmation dialog box that deletes the file only if everyone else on the team agrees.

When a single user deletes a file in a shared folder, only the shortcut is deleted, while the actual file or folder is still reserved for others to access.

CTOnews.com learned from the report that Microsoft also updated and simplified the synchronization Settings menu in the file manager so that the most relevant settings are on the home page, while the less used settings are hidden on the Advanced Settings or secondary pages.
