The Chang'e-6 mission carried out sampling and return to the far side of the moon. So far, 10 lunar sampling returns have been carried out on the front of the moon, the reverse side of the moon is older than the front of the moon as a whole, and there is the Aitken basin, which is one of the three major terranes of the moon, which has important scientific research value. The pre-selected landing area of the Chang'e-6 mission is located in the South Pole-Aitken Basin on the far side of the moon, in order to discover and collect lunar samples of different regions and ages, so as to enhance human understanding of the moon.

In order to successfully complete the communication between the spacecraft on the far side of the moon and the earth, China has newly developed the Magpie Bridge No.2 relay communication satellite, which is scheduled to be launched in the first half of 2024.

In order to enhance international cooperation, the Chang'e-6 mission carries payloads and satellite projects from four countries, including radon detectors in France, negative ion detectors in ESA, laser corner mirrors in Italy, and Cube Star in Pakistan.

At the same time, China is speeding up the promotion of the large scientific project of the International Lunar Research Station, hoping that more international partners will join us to jointly expand the territory of human cognition and contribute to the peaceful use of space and the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
