The combination of the approved multi-MRI system and the medical xenon gas generator approved in 2020 solves the above problems, realizes non-invasive, radiation-free detection and quantitative visual evaluation of lung structure and function, and provides new instruments and methods for early screening and treatment evaluation of lung diseases.

After more than ten years of research, the ultra-sensitive magnetic resonance team of Precision Measurement Institute has made comprehensive breakthroughs in hyperpolarization technology of gas magnetic resonance signal enhancement, ultra-fast lung gas magnetic resonance imaging technology, human multi-magnetic resonance imaging technology, etc.

The team developed a multi-MRI system for human lung gas from a "medical xenon gas generator" It consists of two core devices (model: verImagin VIP510) and "human multi-MRI system"(model: uMR780 (Xe)), which effectively solves the problem that the magnetic resonance imaging signal is extremely weak due to low gas density in lung detection, realizes the expansion of clinical single-core to multi-MRI system, and makes the image diagnosis of lung cavity from "invisible" to "visible."

CTOnews.com inquired that in September 2020, the core equipment "Medical Xenon Generator" obtained the world's first registration certificate for similar medical devices; on August 16,2023, the multi-MRI system was approved for marketing, becoming the world's first clinical multi-MRI product that can be used for gas imaging.

Chinese Academy of Sciences official revealed that at present, the system has been in Beijing, Shanghai, Wuhan and other places more than 10 tertiary hospitals and scientific research units to carry out clinical application research.
