CTOnews.com, September 28 (Xinhua) billionaire Musk runs social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) on his own iPhone and asks employees to send emails in a format that makes it easy for him to read on his mobile phone, the Financial Times reported on Wednesday.

The Financial Times interviewed several current and former employees of Company X and revealed that Musk directed the company with his own iPhone and that if employees wanted to get his attention, the emails they sent had to follow a certain format, including not attaching any files, documents or spreadsheets to the emails. Instead, Musk wants all the information to be in the body of the email.

In addition to Company X, Musk runs four other companies-Tesla, SpaceX, The Boring Company and Neuralink. He is known for his tough leadership style and has a lot of demands on his employees.

After Musk bought Twitter for $44 billion in October 2022, several executives were transferred from Tesla and The Boring Company, members of Musk's core team to help X transform. The executives told X employees that Musk didn't like people who spoke just to appear smart. He wants them to admit it when they don't know something and reply to him on specific questions within a reasonable time.

In November 2022, shortly after Musk took over Twitter, there were reports that Musk's external advisers were called "Musk's goons" by some Twitter employees.

One former employee told the Financial Times that Mr Musk prefers "efficient executors who are willing to carry out other people's orders unconditionally" rather than opinionated employees. "it's not a disparagement of him, he's obviously done it right a lot of times." The former employee said.

Musk even issued an ultimatum to X employees in November 2022, asking them to commit to the company's "extremely hard-core" vision and work in a "long and intense" way, or they would be fired.
