From September 26 to 28, the world-class event KubeCon + CloudNativeCon + Open Source Summit China 2023 was solemnly held at the Shanghai multinational Purchasing Convention and Exhibition Center. Huawei ICT open source industry and ecological development team presented at the summit with CAMARA open source community, ONAP open source community and telecom cloud native to explore the unlimited value of open source and cloud native areas.

CAMARA open source community

Huawei began to explore innovative scenarios with open capabilities in the NaaS field with operators and OTT in 2014, and officially joined the CAMARA project at the end of 2022. As a forerunner and participant in the domestic CAMARA open source community, Huawei actively undertakes the responsibility of building international influence for the CAMARA open source community and contributing to 5G ecological prosperity.

Qing Shuting, an ecological expert on Huawei's open source technology, delivered a keynote speech on "ability to Open up and explore New Business models in the Telecom Industry" to share Huawei's contribution to the CAMARA open source community. In the network layer, Huawei aims to help operators build differentiation capabilities in a short period of time; in the service layer, Huawei aims to help operators promote the standardization of northbound NaaS API; on the integration side, Huawei iTA platform helps operators solve the problem of "the last kilometer" of NaaS API and reach end users more directly.

ONAP Open Source Community (Open Network Automation platform)

As an open network automation platform, ONAP provides a unified framework for the design, creation and lifecycle management of network services. Huawei actively collaborates with operators to explore network autopilot innovation scenarios, and has made more open source contributions to ONAP's intention-based network project (Intent-Based Network,IBN).

In the keynote speech of Open Speech "the Application of Intelligent Fault Management ONAP" at this summit, the remarkable new features of the latest version of IBN in the open source community of ONAP were introduced. The combination of intelligent fault management and intelligent fault management can further improve the troubleshooting efficiency, reduce the threshold of operation and maintenance, and through fault clustering and AI diagnosis technology, overcome the problems of limited perceptual means of traditional fault management, unable to take the initiative to prevent, and low efficiency of troubleshooting, realize full-dimensional minute-level perception of faults, and reduce business losses caused by faults.

Telecom cloud native

How to promote the native commercial deployment of telecom cloud through the combination of Linux Foundation's open source project and telecom standards? In the ONE Summit Regional Day special session of this conference, Deng Hui, Huawei's chief 5GC / Cloud standards expert, brought a related keynote speech.

Due to the high reliability, high performance and high security of telecom networks, telecom operators have many challenges in using open source code to meet industry standards (ETSI NFV). This presentation focuses on the cooperation between open source and standards, introduces in detail the network cloud standards and specifications related to Kubernetes/HELM/ONAP/Anuket/Sylva and other open source projects, and provides suggestions and guidance for telecom operators to introduce cloud native open source software in their commercial deployment, while meeting the requirements of telecommunications standards and strengthening collaboration.

As a staunch supporter and important contributor of open source, Huawei ICT Open Source Industry and Ecological Development team focused on open source basic software, demonstrating open source technology, discussing industrial value and sharing partnership cases at this summit.
