It is estimated that by the end of October this year, the fee packages of pilot units will be reduced by more than 40%, and centralized rectification will be carried out nationwide from November to December, with an overall reduction of 40%, and the phenomenon of TV "doll" charges has been significantly improved.

SARFT attaches great importance to the voice of the people, and fully promotes solving the complex problems of television operation and realizing simple and easy access to live television channels as a popular project. The State Administration of Radio, Film and Television has formulated a special governance plan on the basis of investigation and research, jointly issued a relevant circular with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and launched a series of governance measures.

For example, we are trying to upgrade the software of cable TV and IPTV set-top box, so that the broad audience can see the live TV channel directly when they open the TV set-top box, and put the live TV channel window in a prominent position on the interactive page. At present, this work is being carried out at full speed. More than 20 million cable televisions and IPTV set-top boxes across the country have been able to see live TV channels when they are turned on. Beijing, as a pilot city, more than 5 million cable TV users have turned on to watch live TV channels. By the end of this year, 80 per cent of cable TV users and 85 per cent of IPTV users across the country will be able to watch live TV channels as soon as they are turned on. SARFT is also pushing cable TV and IPTV operators to simplify the operation of TV channel playback business, and some intelligent set-top boxes with the necessary conditions can realize the function of fast wake-up on standby and shorten the startup time.

The State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT), together with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, promotes TV manufacturers to develop the function of automatically displaying live TV channels after the smart TV is turned on. Organize scientific research institutions and TV manufacturers to simplify and reduce the integration of remote controls and set-top boxes, strive to realize the use of the same remote control for TV sets and set-top boxes as soon as possible, and finally launch integrated receiving equipment for TV sets and set-top boxes. At the same time, SARFT is also actively organizing and guiding cable TV and IPTV platforms to increase the supply of free and high-quality content.
