Ren Xudong stressed that open source software has laid the foundation for the development of the Internet industry and promoted the prosperity of the industry in the cloud era. Cloud native open source will become more important in shaping the smart world and accelerating the arrival of the smart world.

Huawei not only believes that open source ecology is extremely important, but also takes active actions to contribute to major open source projects around the world, not only contributing 25 global mainstream open source foundations, such as Linux, Apache, Eclipse, and the Open Atomic Open Source Foundation, and winning more than 250 key technical seats, but also contributing more than 120 upstream software and a number of mainstream open source projects, keeping pace with the international community.

While actively participating in the contribution of open source, Huawei has been continuously exploring the new value of open source in the direction of key basic software, cloud native, AI and other new industries, as well as in the ecological construction of open source.

Deep ploughing of basic software to provide a better choice for the world with open source

Huawei has been exploring open source since around 2000, hoping to help build the technology base of the Alliance of everything. Huawei also relies on more than 30 years of ICT technology accumulation and 20 years of open source experience, continues to explore basic software root technology, and launched more than 20 open source basic software projects, such as OpenHarmony, openEuler, Thread MindSpore, KubeEdge, etc., through open source, further consolidate the digital infrastructure base, enable the intelligent world of the Alliance of everything, and provide a better choice for the world.

Huawei's open source project in basic software has achieved good ecological development results. MindSpore, an artificial intelligence framework project launched by Huawei, has been open source so far, and the community has more than 21000 contributors, more than 30 Sig groups, and the Gitee AI open source project ranks TOP1. MindSpore has served more than 5500 enterprises, supported more than 500 models, incubated and tested more than 30 innovative models, and more than 900 top papers.

Adhere to cloud native innovation and open sharing, common innovation value

Huawei persists in investing in cloud native innovation and opening up, and works with enterprises, open source organizations, academic institutions, and developers to promote cloud native technology development and industrial standardization, enabling the digital transformation of the industry:
