CTOnews.com Sept. 28, according to foreign technology media MacRumors reports, Apple iPhone SE 4 in the design, hardware specifications and other aspects have undergone great changes.

The appearance of Apple iPhone SE 4 is the same as that of iPhone 14. Apple iPhone SE 4 has the internal code name "Ghost", which is basically the same as iPhone 14, and even retains the iPhone 14 test parameters in internal tests.

Two major changes are expected in terms of the introduction of action buttons and the appearance of USB-C ports: the introduction of action buttons and USB-C ports. Instead of using a mute dial on the iPhone 15 Pro, Apple has used an action button that allows users to change their own options according to their preferences.

Another change in iPhone SE 4 is the use of USB-C ports to comply with upcoming EU regulations. Sources indicate that the E85 connector, also known as the USB-C port, is widely used within Apple.

Except for the above two obvious changes, iPhone SE 4 looks basically the same as iPhone 14.

There is only one camera on the back of the 4800 million camera iPhone SE 4, and the position of the flash is similar to that of the previous generation. Apple has designed at least five designs for the camera bulge, which can be roughly divided into two categories:

Only one camera bulges.

Preliminary information suggests that the iPhone SE 4 may be equipped with a 4800-megapixel rear camera, which can be significantly upgraded compared to the current model.

Removing the Home button and enabling Face IDiPhone SE 4 may also use the same OLED panel from iPhone 14, which will not have a Touch ID Home button but will use Face ID as a biometric tool.

"Pearl" has been mentioned many times within Apple, which is Apple's internal code name for Face ID and related hardware, associated with iPhone SE 4.

It is unlikely to be equipped with a self-developed 5G modem Apple is still developing an internal 5G modem codenamed "Sinope" and is using iPhone SE 4 to test the new hardware.

Current information indicates that the new modem is being tested on D84S, a derivative of iPhone SE 4 and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Initially, the new 5G modem was designed to make its debut with the iPhone 16 series and is available throughout the range. According to our sources, this may no longer be the case.

In addition, Qualcomm recently issued a press release saying it would provide Apple with smartphone modems by 2026.

Apple is unlikely to test its own 5G modem on the iPhone SE 4, and if it does, it doesn't need to redesign the camera or introduce operation buttons.
