The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in April 2023, upholding the lower court's decision that Apple's App Store did not allow third-party markets and did not violate the Anti-monopoly Law.

CTOnews.com Note: Epic Games started a long legal battle with Apple over the rules of App Store in 2020, triggered by the game "Fortnite".

The court announced the verdict in 2021, finding that Apple did not violate the anti-monopoly law and was not a monopolist. Epic Games was not convinced and chose to appeal immediately, saying that the original trial court "got the wrong answer" and "made a number of legal mistakes".

The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in the United States rejected Epic Games's complaint that App Store was not allowed to run a third-party app mall on suspicion of violating the anti-monopoly law and upheld the original verdict.
