CTOnews.com reported on September 27 that Qt released the RC version 6.6 days ago, which mainly introduced "Qt Graphs" and improved the "Text to Speech" module, as well as added a series of features. The official version is scheduled to be launched on October 10.

It is reported that Qt 6.6 introduced the Qt Graphs module as a substitute for the Qt Data Visualization module, which can be used to create various types of 2D and 3D charts, such as line chart, bar chart, pie chart, scatter chart and so on.

Qt Graphs uses Qt Quick 3D for rendering and supports native graphics backends such as OpenGL, Vulkan, Metal, and Direct3D.

In addition, Qt 6.6 improves the Text To Speech module by adding support for Microsoft Speech API (SAPI) 5 on the Windows platform, which, as its name implies, is used to convert text into speech.

Support for Qt GUI Module to directly access the OpenType function of the font used

The QRhi series classes of the Qt rendering hardware interface are now fully documented

Preliminary rendering extension support for Qt Quick 3D

Qt SQL added the Mimer SQL plug-in
