Cloudflare's launch of Cloudflare Fonts is intended to challenge the status of Google Fonts. Cloudflare claims that users do not have to load fonts from third-party servers provided by Google, which can "enhance users' privacy." and because the DNS search time of the platform is shorter than Google's TLS, so the response time of websites using Cloudflare Fonts font elements is shorter.

Browsers need to go through "DNS lookup", "link establishment", "TLS process of HTTPS" and other steps to get a font from the Google server, and request corresponding resources. There will be a total of 8 round trips. Cloudflare Fonts, on the other hand, greatly reduces the number of round trips to one, thus improving the response speed of the site.
