Blackmagic Design uses NVIDIA TensorRT acceleration in its popular DaVinci Resolve 18.6 software update for video editing, color correction, visual effects and dynamic graphics, and post-production of audio. By integrating TensorRT, the software now runs AI tools such as Magic Mask, Optical flow (Speed Warp) and Super Scale more than 50 per cent faster than before. With this acceleration technology, AI runs up to 2.3 times faster on GeForce RTX and NVIDIA RTX GPU than on Mac.

NVIDIA TensorRT is a high-performance reasoning optimizer that provides low latency and high throughput for deep learning reasoning applications and functions, and has been added to DaVinci Resolve version 18.6.

The newly added acceleration technology has significantly improved performance. Today, AI effects run 2.3 times faster on GeForce RTX 4090 GPU than on M2 Ultra and 5.4 times faster than on 7900 XTX.
