CTOnews.com, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) Tesla recently applied for a license to build a fairly spacious canteen for employees at his factory, which seems to have been inspired by an all-electric pickup Cybertruck.

According to a form from Texas licensing and regulatory authorities, the project, named Cyber Cafeteria, is expected to cost $10.5 million (CTOnews.com Note: about RMB 76.755 million currently) and involves some renovation and renovation work, indicating that the cyber canteen will replace an existing facility in the superfactory.

The cyber canteen will have 22639 square feet (about 2103 square meters) of space, which is very spacious. Construction of the project is expected to begin on October 25, 2023, with a completion date of May 1, 2024. Cybertruck production may also be on track when the cyber canteen is completed.

At present, there are only application documents for the cyber canteen, and a picture of the facility may appear in the next few months. Considering its name, the decoration of this canteen may be very unique.

Tesla is expected to hold the first delivery of the Cybertruck in the fourth quarter of this year, and Elon Musk has previously said the car could be in mass production by 2024. Tesla's Texas super factory already employs more than 20, 000 people, and when Cybertruck is fully operational, the plant's workforce could increase to 60, 000.
