CTOnews.com, September 27 (Xinhua)-- OpenCore Legacy Patcher was originally scheduled to be released in parallel with macOS Sonoma, allowing the old Mac to be upgraded to Apple's latest system, but it is now officially announced that it will be released on October 2.

CTOnews.com note: OpenCore Legacy Patcher is a boot loader that injects and patches data into memory rather than disk for a near-native user experience that allows old officially unsupported Mac devices to run newer versions of macOS.

Mykola Grymalyuk, head of the OpenCore Legacy Patcher project, posted a dynamic update on X today, saying that after missing the synchronized release date, the goal is to release on October 2.

"as some of our developers still have some finishing touches on hardware, we are in no hurry to meet macOS Sonoma. We want to keep going and let them work at a less stressful pace," Grymalyuk said.
