CTOnews.com, September 27, 04:15 today, China successfully launched the remote sensing satellite 33 04 from the Jiuquan Satellite launch Center using a long March 4C carrier rocket, the satellite entered the scheduled orbit smoothly, and the launch mission was a complete success.

The launch is the 489th launch of a long March series of carrier rockets.

According to reports, remote sensing 33 04 satellite was developed by the eighth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Group Co., Ltd., and is mainly used in scientific experimental research, general survey of marine and land resources, yield estimation of agricultural products, disaster prevention and reduction, and other fields.

The long March 4C carrier rocket carrying out this launch mission is a normal temperature liquid three-stage carrier rocket developed by the eighth Academy of Aerospace Science and Technology Group. it has the ability to launch satellites of various types and different orbit requirements, and can carry out single-satellite or multi-star launch. its solar synchronous circular orbit carrying capacity can reach 3 tons.

According to CTOnews.com inquiry, remote sensing satellite is a huge series of satellites for research and development in China, which can be divided into synthetic aperture radar imaging, optical imaging, signal intelligence, and so on. The earliest can be traced back to the remote sensing satellite No. 1 approved by Shanghai Aerospace Technology Research Institute in February 1999. At present, remote sensing satellite 26 and its subsequent models are in use.

It is worth mentioning that there are generally three remote sensing satellites in each group. China has launched one remote sensing satellite 39 on August 31 and September 17, and remote sensing satellite 33 03 on September 7. Three remote sensing satellites were launched on September 11.
