CTOnews.com, September 26 (Xinhua)-- the new generation of Meta Quest 3 VR will be officially unveiled at the Meta Connect 2023 event on September 27, after Meta seems to have reduced the price of the product in some countries.

According to the official website of Meta, the price of the basic 128GB storage capacity of Quest 3 in euro zone countries, including Germany, France and Italy, has dropped by about 20 euros from 569.99 euros to 549.99 euros (CTOnews.com Note: about 4262 yuan currently), while the price in the UK has also been reduced from 499.99 pounds to 479.99 pounds (currently about 4286 yuan). There may be changes in other countries, but it is not certain for the time being.

The price of Quest 3 in the United States has not changed, and the official website still shows the price announced in June: $499.99. Prices for models with higher storage capacity have not yet been announced.

Meta Quest 3 will be by far the most expensive consumer Quest headset, and both the first and second generation Oculus Quest will be cheaper at launch. After the launch of Quest 3, Quest 2 ($299.99) and Quest Pro ($999.99) will continue to be sold.

The Quest 3 will have twice as much processing power as its predecessors, a lighter shape, a higher resolution display, pancake lenses and color perspective.
