From September 11 to September 15, 2023, the 2023 Wi-Fi Alliance Roaming Interoperability Test Conference was held simultaneously in Beijing, Chinese Taipei and Santa Clara. The Beijing Regional Conference, hosted by the testing Center of the National Radio Monitoring Center (hereinafter referred to as SRTC), attracted more than 20 manufacturers, including Wi-Fi chip enterprises, equipment manufacturers, communication operators and ecological solution providers. The Wi-Fi Alliance Roaming Interoperability testing Conference aims to gather global industry forces to promote the unification and improvement of Wi-Fi technical standards through in-depth cross-platform cooperation and technical exchanges, ensure a consistent, efficient and secure wireless network experience for global users, and promote wireless technology progress.

The testing activities focus on studying and solving the problems in the actual deployment of Wi-Fi equipment, including the roaming obstacles of the client, the frequency band and the anomalies under the WPA3-Personal security mechanism. In order to better reproduce and adapt to the actual problems, the Wi-Fi Alliance has carried out cross-vendor interoperability testing in real situations, which provides a more valuable reference for related test certification. All tests are based on real equipment and environment. SRTC is responsible for coordinating the test plan, arranging the test process, building the test environment, collecting and integrating relevant data, and submitting the result analysis to the alliance to ensure the professionalism and fairness of the test.
