CTOnews.com, September 26, according to foreign technology media Windows Latest, Google plans to introduce a "performance panel" for Chrome browsers to copy the browser summary function in Microsoft Edge browsers, making it easier for users to track memory usage, sleep tabs and other related information.

It is reported that the performance panel (Performance Panel) will invite Win11 and macOS users to test it in the coming months, highlighting the efficiency, speed and security of the browser.

Google engineers said in a Chromium BUG post that the development of the performance panel is now in its final stages and has customized a basic framework to help developers test data integration technologies and display them seamlessly.

CTOnews.com previously reported that clicking on the "performance panel" in Edge browsers displays a sidebar showing which tabs are asleep to save resources, as well as information from SmartScreen about how many sites and downloads have been scanned to ensure security.

The panel also has a "performance detector" designed to provide you with tips on improving browser performance. "performance detectors help identify situations where browser performance may be affected and recommend actions to you through browser points to reduce memory usage or other resources," Microsoft said.
