According to officials, hosting the first developer Challenge is a new attempt by PICO to link with developers in the new phase of the XR industry. PICO will continue to focus on the three underlying core technical capabilities of XR, such as spatial awareness, graphics rendering and human-computer interaction, and cooperate with byte jumping technology to provide cutting-edge and convenient development services for developers.

The PICO XR developer Challenge will be held in Europe, North America, Southeast Asia, Japan, South Korea, China and other countries and regions at the same time. It is reported that the registration channel for the competition was officially opened on September 25, and developers can enter through the PICO official website competition area, and submit their works before November 10. After the review, the review will be completed before November 30, and the award ceremony will be held on December 5.

According to IDC data, PICO's shipments in 2022 (VR / AR industry) ranked second in the world and first in China. In the first half of 2023, PICO also ranked first in China's VR market with a share of 58.7%, far ahead of other brands such as Sony.
