In the past three years, under the influence of epidemic, parts shortage, recession and other adverse factors, global smartphone brands are facing sales challenges, but big brands are highly competitive and relatively easy to maintain operation.

Analysts also say that in the fast-growing smartphone industry, it is difficult for small brands to keep pace with big brands in many ways. While large brands continue to invest in research and development, manufacturing and capacity-building, small brands rely heavily on ODM equipment labeling.

In addition, large brands such as Xiaomi, OPPO and vivo have also greatly squeezed the living space of small manufacturers between the invisible and tangible, thus causing small brands to continue to make things worse.

Analysts also point out that the maturity of the consumer market is another negative factor for small brands. As the global market gradually matures, consumers have higher expectations for mobile phones, requiring stronger parameters, design, brand value and software ecosystem, which can only be affordable by big brands with stronger R & D and industry alliance capabilities.

Accordingly, CTOnews.com found that Counterpoint expects small brands to "continue to decrease" in the future, and only large brands can cope with the challenges posed by market and technological upgrades.
