CTOnews.com Swedish holding group Embracer Group is considering options for its U.S. game developer Gearbox Entertainment, which include a sale option. CTOnews.com previously reported that the company's shares are currently trading in Stockholm and are exploring a sale.

CTOnews.com Note: Gearbox, developer of the Borderlands series and publisher of the Ruins series, was acquired by Embracer for $1.3 billion (currently about 9.568 billion yuan).

▲ The game "No Land 3" poster and according to foreign media VGC reports, Embracher's move has attracted interest from some "international game groups," and Take-Two, as the publisher of games such as "No Land" series, is also considered one of the potential acquirers. At the shareholders 'meeting a few days ago, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick was asked,"Will you consider acquiring Gearbox?"

Strauss Zelnick said Take-Two is excited about maintaining a long-term relationship with Gearbox, but it has "no direct relationship" with who Gearbox might spend, and Take-Two does not speculate about potential deals in terms of whether it is interested in acquiring Gearbox.

According to the sales volume announced last month, the series has sold a total of 81 million copies.
