CTOnews.com September 24 news, according to the "Chongqing release" today reported that the Chongqing Economic and Information Commission recently issued the "Chongqing Meta-Universe Industry Development Action Plan (2023-2025)", proposed to achieve 100 billion yuan level of the city's meta-universe-related industries by 2025, and build a highly influential meta-universe industrial agglomeration area and innovative application pilot area in China.

The person in charge of the department said that Chongqing's metacosmos industry will take the construction of "digital Chongqing" as an opportunity to accelerate the agglomeration of market players, open up application scenarios, and promote deep integration with the real economy. Form a metacosmos industrial ecology of "active innovation, rich application, safe and reliable". The specific objectives set out in the Action Plan are as follows:

Within three years, we will build three innovation platforms related to metacosmos at and above the municipal level, and break through a number of key core technologies in the fields of data circulation, content production, and digital twinning.

We will promote the deep integration of meta-universe with industry, literature, tourism, consumption and other fields, build 15 typical application scenarios of meta-universe, and form a number of iconic achievements that can be replicated and popularized.

It is planned to build 2 to 3 yuan cosmic industrial parks and build a number of demonstration buildings in the field of meta-universe.

Cultivate a group of leading technical experts and excellent creators of meta-universe, and accelerate the formation of a good industrial ecology.

In terms of specific measures, Chongqing will implement five major actions: key technology integration and innovation action, product cultivation and upgrading action, market subject introduction action, integration application demonstration action, and industrial ecological optimization action to promote the development of metacosmos industry.

Referring to the report of CTOnews.com9 on March 18, the Department of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology openly solicited opinions on the proposal for the establishment of the Meta-Universe Standardization working Group of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (draft for soliciting opinions).

The document points out that at present, the industry-university-research parties have not yet reached a consensus on the definition of meta-universe, and some capital and enterprises borrow the hot hype of meta-universe, which leads to its concept far away from the actual value and restricts the development of meta-universe industry to a certain extent. Speeding up the development of basic standards such as meta-cosmic terminology and reference architecture, as well as application standards in industrial manufacturing, communications and other fields, is conducive to unifying the consensus of all parties, reducing repetitive input costs, and forming a joint force to promote industrial development.

It is suggested that, in accordance with the principle of emergency first, we should focus on speeding up the development of basic general standards such as metacosmos terminology and reference architecture, and key technical standards such as metamosmos identity system, digital content generation, and cross-domain interoperation. priority should be given to the development of industry application standards such as "meta-universe + industrial manufacturing". In the face of new technologies, new products, new business type, and new models in the fields of privacy protection, content regulation, and data security, we will speed up the research on key technologies and industrial development, and strengthen technology integration and innovation with brain-computer interfaces, generative artificial intelligence, quantum information and other fields. Carry out research on applied standards such as industrial meta-universe, urban metamosmos and virtual digital human, guide industry associations, standardization professional institutions and technical organizations to promote standards for producers and users of meta-universe industry, guide enterprises to meet standards in research and development, production, management and other links, and improve the effectiveness of standards application.
