China exported 436000 cars in August, a year-on-year increase of 39 per cent.

From January to August this year, China exported 3.22 million cars, an increase of 65 per cent over the same period last year.

The average car export price in 2023 was $20000 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 146000 yuan), compared with $18000 last year (currently about 131000 yuan).

In August, the export of new energy vehicles was 144000, an increase of 23% over the same period last year.

From January to August this year, China exported 1.08 million new energy vehicles, an increase of 82 percent over the same period last year.

From January to August this year, 1.0443 million new energy passenger vehicles were exported, an increase of 90 percent over the same period last year, accounting for 96 percent of new energy vehicle exports.

If Chinese new energy car owners export to Western European and Southeast Asian markets, their exports to Thailand and other Southeast Asian countries will be stronger this year.

Last month, the China Automobile Association disclosed data on China's vehicle exports in July: China's vehicle exports increased by 6.6% from the previous month, up 59.4% from the same period last year; the value of vehicle exports increased by 13.1% from the previous month and 83.3% from January to July of 2023; vehicle exports increased by 74% year on year, and vehicle exports doubled from the same period last year.

In addition, from January to July 2023, the top 10 countries in terms of automobile commodity exports are Russia, the United States, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Australia, Japan, Germany, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates.
