Trendforce analysts point out that the AI boom has deeply driven inventory in the relevant supply chains, resulting in revenue of the top 10 IC design companies in the world reaching $38.1 billion in the second quarter (CTOnews.com Note: about 278.13 billion yuan currently), an increase of 12.5% from the previous quarter.

TrendForce expects the world's top 10 IC design revenue to continue to have double-digit quarterly growth in the third quarter, and output is expected to hit a record high.

Alone, Nvidia has benefited from global CSP (cloud service providers), Internet companies and enterprise-generated AI, and the introduction of large language models into applications, and its data center revenue has grown by 105% in the quarter.

In addition, the separate business of gaming and professional visualization also grew, with Q2's overall revenue reaching $11.33 billion (currently about 82.709 billion yuan), up 68.3% from the previous month. Overall surpassed Qualcomm and Broadcom to become the leader of the global IC design company.

Due to the decline in game graphics card sales and embedded business in the second quarter, AMD's overall second-quarter revenue was roughly the same as the previous quarter, about $5.36 billion.

The inventory level of some parts of MediaTek, such as TV chips and WiFi chips, has gradually improved, coupled with urgent TV orders, shipments and inventory replenishment related to platforms such as mobile phones, smart terminal platforms and power management IC, and revenue rose 1.5 per cent to $3.2 billion in the second quarter.

The second-quarter revenue of Mei Man Electronics, which ranked sixth, fell 1.4% from the previous quarter, or about US $1.33 billion; Lianyong's revenue increased by 24.7% to US $987 million; Ruiyu increased by 32.6% to US $856 million; Weir Semiconductor and MPS had revenue of 530 million yuan and 440 million US dollars respectively, both of which decreased.
