CTOnews.com September 24 news, June this year, Micron and the Indian government signed a memorandum of understanding on the establishment of a factory in Gujarat.

Tata Projects Corporation (a subsidiary of Tata Group) announced Saturday that it will build an advanced semiconductor assembly and testing plant in Sanand, Gujarat, in partnership with Micron Technologies. It is reported that the first phase of the plant will start soon and is expected to be put into operation by the end of 2024.

According to public information, the plant is located in Gujarat Industrial Development Company area of Sanadi, Gujarat, covering an area of 93 acres, with a total investment of US $2.75 billion (CTOnews.com Note: currently about RMB 20.075 billion), of which Micron invests up to US $825 million (currently about RMB 6.023 billion), and the rest will be provided by the central government and state government of India.

Tata said in a statement: "This enduring project is an important milestone for us and the largest investment under ISM. "

The first phase of construction of the plant, which will include a 500,000 square foot clean room space, is slated to be operational by the end of 2024. The project also includes the design and construction of India's first DRAM and NAND assembly and test facility.

Tata Projects also plans to adopt modern building methods and accelerate the construction of integrated EPC delivery methods through 4D BIM and hybrid modularity. According to the statement, the Sunnady plant will be designed to the Green Building Council's LEED Gold standard and will incorporate advanced water-saving technologies.
