CTOnews.com Sept. 24, Tesla CEO Elon Musk (Elon Musk) has met with a number of national leaders over the years, most of whom have turned to him for the opportunity to build an electric car factory.

Speaking at the Bloomberg CEO Forum earlier this month, Indonesian Maritime Coordination Minister Luhut Pandjaitan referred to a recent meeting with Musk that Tesla would not expand the super factory for at least the next 1-2 years, according to teslarati.

Pandjaitan said Mr Musk was "very frank" in his statement about the new plant, adding that Tesla wanted to avoid bankruptcy like GM and Chrysler in 2009.

CTOnews.com noted that during the second-quarter earnings call, Musk pointed out that Tesla's goal is to sell 1.8 million cars this year. Bloomberg pointed out that Tesla's output generally exceeded delivery last year, and stressed that it may take some time to further expand production.

It is worth mentioning that Tesla recently met with Thai Prime Minister Sreta Tawesin, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. There were reports that Tesla was in talks with Saudi Arabia to build a super factory, but Musk later denied the claim.
