[Shanghai, China, September 21, 2023] on September 21, during Huawei full connection Conference 2023, Huawei Cloud and Shanghai data Group announced the official launch of the joint innovation project of urban data space at the theme summit of "Huawei Cloud makes the cloud base and enabler of the intelligent world and achieve outstanding enterprises". The two sides will conduct in-depth research around the core topic of data element circulation and jointly promote the development of data element industry. Zhu Zongyao, president of Shanghai data Group, Shang Haifeng, president of Huawei Cloud Stack, Li Xiaoshan, vice president of Shanghai data Group, and Zhang Yingjiao, general manager of Huawei Cloud Shanghai, jointly attended the launching ceremony.

At present, data has become the fifth largest factor of production alongside technology and capital, and an important part of national resources. Data elements can produce greater value only in circulation. However, there are still some problems and challenges in the circulation of data elements, such as unwillingness to share or dare not to share.

With the rapid development of data economy, new changes have taken place in the definition, supply scope and circulation mode of data elements. Shanghai data Group innovates to put forward a new paradigm of "urban data space", which promotes the circulation and utilization of data on a city-by-city basis. Urban data space is composed of public data space, enterprise data space and personal data space, while the infrastructure system is an important cornerstone of urban data space, which solves the problems of where data can be found, where it can be circulated and can be trusted.

In 2022, Shanghai data Group, driven by public data, and Huawei Cloud Stack jointly created the "Tianji Zhixin" platform, the key infrastructure of Shanghai's "urban data space". The platform has basic functions such as data collection, aggregation, storage and security, and can realize the effective integration of public data, industry data and social data. With the combination of privacy computing and data space technology, the platform can provide high-quality data sets and algorithm models, fully mine and release the value of data elements, and enable urban digital transformation. In the first phase of the "Tianji Zhixin" platform project, the Shanghai data Group developed and utilized more than 3000 items of public data through infrastructure construction and authorized operation of public data. 37 million times of standardized data products and customized services were provided to 33 financial institutions, and the total amount of inclusive financial loans exceeded 300 billion.

At this conference, Shanghai data Group and Huawei Cloud announced the formal launch of the urban data space joint innovation project, and the two sides will conduct in-depth research around three important topics:

Topic 1: based on AI for Data, build an intelligent urban data development space to accelerate the production and efficiency of data products. Use AI technology to lower the threshold for the development of analysis and report data products, from hour-level SQL development and analysis visualization to the completion of data analysis reports through real-time dialogue self-help analysis, chart drawing and text generation, so that consumers can fetch more data elements and use them efficiently.

Topic 2: based on Trust for Data, build a trusted urban data exchange space to solve the dilemma of mutual trust in data circulation. Urban data exchange space, the data is reliable, the circulation is controllable and the process is verifiable. Urban data exchange space gathers rich high-quality public data resources, based on the use of policy control to ensure the controllable flow of data elements, consumers use data through compliance applications, the whole process of full-link certificate can be traced back.

Topic 3: jointly issue the "CDS White Paper on Urban data Space". Refine the technical solutions and best practices of joint innovation between the two sides, and ideally precipitate the phased results, so as to provide a reference path for the flow of data elements.

Facing the future, Shanghai data Group will join hands with Huawei and many partners with a new concept of urban data space to stimulate the potential of data and empower economic and social development.
