Thanks to the CTOnews.com netizen Mr. Air, the left hand of Brother Black fly, and the delivery of clues about the past in the west window! CTOnews.com, September 22, the European Commission announced today that Intel was again fined 376.36 million euros (CTOnews.com Note: about 2.928 billion yuan) after it was found to have "violated EU antitrust rules and engaged in a series of anti-competitive practices aimed at excluding competitors from the relevant markets."

Specifically, Intel was punished for "previously abusing its dominant position in the computer chip market called x86 CPU". Before that, the European Court of Justice had lifted the record penalty of 1.06 billion euros (currently about 8.247 billion yuan) imposed on Intel.

Tuyuan Pexels also reported that in 2009, EU antitrust authorities said Intel was trying to crack down on its competitor AMD by offering kickbacks to computer manufacturers Dell, Hewlett-Packard, NEC and Lenovo to encourage them to buy chips from Intel.

In early 2022, Intel won a $1.2 billion fine (currently about 8.772 billion yuan) from EU antitrust regulators, and the European Union's general court in Luxembourg rejected most of the regulators' 2009 rulings.

The court said at the time that the analysis conducted by the EU antitrust regulator was incomplete and could not establish the necessary legal standards to judge the competitive impact of kickbacks. It is worth noting that the court stated that it was unable to determine damages related to Intel's actions, so it completely removed the part related to the fine.
