Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
Thank you for the handwritten clues delivered by CTOnews.com netizens! CTOnews.com September 22 news, today the British Competition and Market Authority (CMA) opened the door for Microsoft and Activision Blizzard merger to be approved, and executives from both Microsoft and Blizzard immediately responded.
Brad Smith, President of Microsoft:
We are encouraged by this positive development in the UK CMA review process, and we believe that our proposed solution will completely address CMA's other concerns about cloud gaming and streaming. We will continue to strive for approval and completion of the transaction by the October 18 deadline.
Lulu Cheng Meservey, Vice President of Activision Blizzard:
The final approval of CMA is good news for the future of Activision Blizzard and Microsoft. We are pleased that CMA has responded positively to the solution proposed by Microsoft, and after that, we will continue to work hard to complete the regulatory review process.
Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick:
We want to share the significant progress in the integration with Microsoft. Today, CMA in the UK initially approved our merger, and the next step is for CMA to collect third-party feedback and then make a final decision.
As I said when I announced the deal, it will help us accelerate the achievement of the ambitious goals of future games and better serve the players. Over the past 30 years, we have been committed to excellence and independent innovation, which has been recognized by Microsoft. I believe that their resources, technology and tools will provide us with more opportunities and create better games.
This is a major milestone in the merger process, and I will remain optimistic as we continue to achieve our goals. Thank you for your dedication and dedication.
CTOnews.com reported earlier today that under the new agreement, Microsoft will not buy the rights to cloud games held by Activision Blizzard, but will sell it to an independent third-party Ubisoft Entertainment (Ubisoft) before the deal is completed.
CMA believes that the restructuring deal has made an important change, basically addressing the concerns raised earlier this year related to the original transaction. CMA is now consulting on Microsoft's proposed remedies until October 6.
