CTOnews.com, September 21 (Xinhua)-- Dongfeng Honda today unveiled a new new energy vehicle brand called Lingzhi. The brand's first model, the Lingzhi L concept car, will be launched in mass production next year.

The new brand's model will be produced and developed based on a new pure electric platform, and officials say it will be "significantly different" from Dongfeng Honda's existing pure electric series e:NS in terms of product positioning, target users and market pricing. Pan Jianxin, deputy general manager of Dongfeng Honda, said, "Lingzhi brand is in the new joint venture era, Dongfeng Honda takes the initiative to explore a new model of joint venture brand."

Officials say the "Lingzhi" brand is aimed at young consumers, and the first model is handed over to the post-90s R & D team, which is known as "letting young people design young people's cars." Its overall appearance adopts the design style of "polyhedron", adopts the design of opposite door, and is equipped with brand-new intelligent driving system and intelligent cockpit.

In addition, Dongfeng Honda announced that the proportion of electrification will reach more than 50% by 2025, the new models that will no longer be put into fuel vehicles in 2027, and the cumulative launch of more than 10 pure electric models by 2030.
