(1) Financial industry

The financial industry is actively exploring the use of open source databases with a wide range of application scenarios. This survey shows that banks account for more than 60% of the enterprises in the financial industry that use open source databases, and nearly 30% of insurance companies.

The financial industry is rich in business scenarios, and open source databases are widely used in office management, tools, financial investment, business analysis and other systems. It can support financial needs, meet regulatory requirements, improve controllability, and reasonably control system construction costs.

According to research, in the financial enterprises that use MySQL open source database, MySQL5.7 version is widely used. In the telecom industry, enterprises that deploy MySQL more than 50% of the total database account for a relatively high proportion, and some enterprises account for more than 80%. In the number of open source database applications, the provincial subsidiaries of telecom enterprises generally deploy 100-200 sets of MySQL, and some provincial subsidiaries of telecom enterprises reach 500 sets.

Among all the telecom enterprises that deploy MySQL, most of them choose the MySQL5.7 version as their running version, and the deployment accounts for more than half of the deployment of their MySQL headquarters. When choosing to replace MySQL5.7, the difficulty of migration and the cost of transformation are also important factors for energy enterprises to consider. Enterprises believe that domestic open source databases should further improve product compatibility and make databases adapt to multiple platforms, so as to better provide products and services and promote the digital transformation of enterprises.
